Ghana: Nigerian community celebrates top on-air-personality


Omobola Precious, a Nigerian on-air-personality currently residing in Ghana opines that Nigeria remains the greatest country on the continent despite being faced with a myriad of challenges.


Popularly known as Omo Naija meaning a Nigerian in the local Yoruba dialect, the young achiever made the comments as she was celebrated by the Nigerian community in Ghana in an event in Ghana’s capital, Accra on Sunday, November 1, 2021.


The colorful event was used as a medium to mark her 5th year anniversary as a media personality in Ghana, the launch of her movie “Untamed Fame” as well as her birthday which was celebrated in August 2021.


Amongst the dignitaries present at the event were Samuel Ampofo, National Chairman of Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, King of the Igbo Community in Ghana (Eze Ndigbo Ghana), President of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NIDO), Honorable Abike Dabiri Arewa, Executive director of Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa - FARA (FARA) Mr. Yemoley Akinbamijo, high-ranking officials from the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana including Deputy Gambo Yusuf Hamza.


Untamed Fame which was shot in various locations in Ghana features top actors and actresses from Nigeria and Ghana including veteran actor, Kofi Adjorlolo and actress, Roselyn Ngissah.


In honor of the support he has granted her all these years, a citation was presented to the Founder of C.E.O of Ahorto FM and, National Chairman of Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ampofo.
