THE YCEO: Huawei is building its own OS (Operating System) to give tough competition to Android and iOS

Huawei is building its own OS (Operating System)
Trade restrictions on Huawei? No problem. Huawei is developing its own OS since January 2018. The Chinese largest telecommunications company is not coming slow. It is all set to launch its own operating system called ‘HongMeng’ and would be ready for a launch in China inlate 2019 and internationally by 2020.
So it means, goodbye for Android and Google for Huawei. The new OS will be compatible with phones, tablets, smartwatches, computers, TVs, and more.
The company was building its own operating system since early 2018 but did not release it because
We did not want to bring the OS to the market as we had a strong relationship with Google and others and did not want to ruin the relationship. Now, we are rolling it out next month. Alaa Elshimy, Managing Director and Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Business Group Middle East.
Answering a question about the apps because without app the new OS would have little significance, Elishimy said, all Android apps will work with HongMeng and users will be able to download apps using the Huawei AppGallery.
The U.S ban on Huawei was announced on May 20 but days later was lifted for 90 days. Huawei is already the best seller smartphone with increased sales in the 1st quarter of 2019 and has sold more units than Apple and Samsung worldwide.
